Vision and Mission
At Pinetta Elementary School we believes that all students can learn. PES is committed
to combining the teachers' knowledge of the individual with an understanding of
child development to achieve his/her maximum learning potential through age appropriate
and individually appropriate practices. The students will have meaningful learning
experiences, which will stimulate and challenge them in a safe and secure learning
environment. As a result, students will become invested and responsible learners.
In addition, Pinettta Elementary will celebrate and value diversity in race, gender,
ethnicity, age and language. The partnership among home, school and community serves
as the cornerstone of effective schools. The participation in and support by the
community remains essential to achieving our vision of fulfilling the promise of
success for all learners.
For our students, we work to ensure that they will:
- Develop proficiency in the English language
- Develop critical thinking and communication skills
- Develop proficiency in mathematical computation and reasoning
- Develop an appreciation of the fine and applied arts
- Develop effective interpersonal skills
- Develop an appreciation for human diversity
In conclusion, our vision and mission for our District begins and ends with the
student. All educators at Pinetta are committed to focusing on the learners interests
and supporting their needs to challenge their intellect. The students' futures depend
on how well PES prepares them to become successful and productive citizens of their
society. This is a joint effort shared with community, parents, students, and the
school system, which is in alignment with the District Assistance and Intervention
Plan which states parents, school staff, and others will work as a team with the
resources they have to improve student achievement.
